Balboa Island (10 minutes)  
This quaint and charming island community is a popular attraction for visitors and residents. Protected from the pounding Pacific surf and surrounded by beaches and a tranquil, secluded bay, Balboa Island is a sun-washed island paradise, perfectly situated in the beautiful Newport Harbor. The island is accessed from the mainland via a bridge at the end of Jamboree Road and from the Balboa Peninsula by ferry. Best seen on foot, this picturesque island is home to more than 70 gift shops, galleries, and restaurants.

Stroll down the North Bay front walkway to get a better view of the stately yachts moored at the docs. Wander down Marine Avenue and enjoy the unique shopping and culinary delights in the island's casual atmosphere. You can get a bite to eat at one of the many sidewalk cafes, or enjoy award-winning cuisine at one of its fine restaurants. As you walk around the island, you'll notice an enchanting mix of architectural styles, from Cape Cod to beautiful modern homes. When you're ready to leave, catch the Balboa Ferry via Agate Avenue on the South Bay front for a memorable ride to the Balboa Peninsula. 

The Orange County Performing Arts Center (15 minutes) 
The Orange County Performing Arts Center is one of the West Coast's most prestigious cultural institutions, well known for both its award-winning architecture and facilities, and for the exceptional quality of the performances and artists who perform there. The Center is comprised of the acoustically superb multi-purpose 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall and its smaller, more intimate venue, Founders Hall, which accommodates as many as 250 people in a variety of seating configurations. The Center's programming is noted for its extraordinary caliber and variety.

 

Disneyland Park (20 minutes)  
Known worldwide as "The Happiest Place On Earth", Disneyland Park is what Anaheim is known for best. "The Happiest Place on Earth" is an enchanted kingdom of fantasy and imagination where you can blast off to outer space, venture up jungle rivers and encounter ghosts, pirates, Toons, cowboys and flying elephants. The magic of beloved stories comes to life in eight magical lands filled with more than 50 fun-filled family-friendly attractions. With seasonal shows and events, new rides, and innovations such as the "FastPass", Disneyland Park is a modern classic.

South Coast Plaza Repertory (15 minutes)  
South Coast Plaza Repertory was founded in 1964 by David Emmes and Martin Benson, who remain its artistic directors. South Coast Repertory, winner of the 1988 Tony Award for Distinguished Achievement by a Regional Theatre, has commissioned and produced the world premieres of scores of new plays. With its 2002-03 Season, South Coast Repertory has opened the Folino Theatre Center, its expanded three-theatre complex in Costa Mesa. Theatres include the 507-seat Segerstrom Stage, the 336-seat Julianne Argyros Stage and the 95-seat Nicholas Studio. Disney's California Adventure Park (20 minutes) Explore the Golden State in more than thirty exciting screaming, blasting, plummeting, soaring, giggling attractions found in four fun-filled lands that celebrate the magic, wonder, thrill and whimsy of the nation's 31st state. There's a world of California dreaming for children of all ages. 

Downtown Disney (20 minutes) 
With so much to see and do, this is the place any night of the year. This high-energy nighttime entertainment district is the place to experience the greatest variety of always-changing entertainment. Here, visitors will find entertainment, dining, and shopping, including the famous House of Blues, a 12-screen movie theater, an ESPN sports zone, and the Build-A-Bear Workshop store. 

Corona del Mar Village (2 minutes) Corona del Mar, with its small town charm and picturesque narrow street, is located just south of Newport Beach. Here you can shop for a myriad of items such as home furnishings, rare antiques, Oriental rugs, beautifully crafted jewelry or fashionable sportswear. Sample the culinary delights from the many unique restaurants and eateries - from iced lattes and gelato to the freshest seafood and sushi. A visit to Corona del Mar is not complete without a tour of the beautiful Sherman Library and Gardens. The Garden Shop has a variety of great ideas with its collection of books, stationery, plants and other gift items. 

Catalina Island (30 minutes) 
The Luxurious Catalina Flyer Ferry has daily ferry service to Catalina island, leaving from the Balboa Island Pavilion, less than 10 minutes from the Hotel. For Ferry reservations, please call 949-673-5245. Catalina Island still retains the charm and hospitality of days gone by. Avalon, the island's only city, encompasses about 2-square miles with a population of about 3,500. It is located 22 miles from the Los Angeles/Orange County coast, There are no freeways or traffic lights on Catalina Island. The most common mode of transportation is walking, bicycles or golf carts. The streets are lined with palm trees, the waters surrounding the island are crystal blue, the air is clean, and the island has nearly perfect year-round weather. Avalon offers a large selection of restaurants, shops, and a wide variety of venues. The island offers a plethora of land and sea activities. 

Knott's Berry Park (20 minutes) 
Themed around the Old West atmosphere, Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park has 160 acres with rides for young and old adventurers alike. With live shows, family attractions, music, shopping, and dining, Knott's competes among the top twelve most visited amusement parks in America. Open every day of the year except Christmas day. Knott's Soak City U.S.A. (20 minutes) The second of the two parks at Knott's Berry Farm, Soak City U.S.A. is a 13 acre water park adjacent to the theme park. The park is themed around 1950's Southern California beaches and has, among other attractions, a 760,000-gallon wave pool and a one-third-mile lazy river. It is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on weekends in May and September.
